Each time a session is prepared and recorded, an attempt is made to keep the amplitude (or volume) down to minimize digital hash (or distortion). On some inadequate replication devices, such as earbuds or inferior headphones, there may be some crackling or a sputtering at louder parts, but if played on a nice sound system, and if the speakers are capable, all the roars and growls of these instruments should be audible as they were to the artist as he was producing the noise live. Also, care should be given not to turn up the sound too loud, as there are many quiet passages that give way to abrupt outbursts that could harm your speakers if played too loudly. Quieter is sometimes better.
