about

Elastic Collision discovered that all metal produces a pitch when struck with a hard object; sometimes a pure sound, sometime dissonant, but always eventful. Many of the objects used on this album were purchased at local thrift stores. Ken and Frank were always testing bowls to see if they would sing. The ones that resonated the best were used in their percussion array with zen-like results.
