about

After acquiring a Tascam 38 for Moore/Myers, Ken began using this 1/2" tape reproducer to multi-track his own work in the continuing experimental and percussive vein. This opening track is similar to the first track on XpairAmendT, "March 16", which uses all percussion instruments for its sound source. In 1987, this composition was never really finished, so it was re-constructed to simulate a four channel recording, where two stereo tracks would be played through two identical sound systems, allowing the music to be broadcast through four separate speakers surrounding the listener. As that would only be possible with two physical discs, the two are pre-mixed together for this digital release. The artist now considers this piece to be completed.
