about

This is an all percussion track that began with an oversized set of wood Ludwig drums and Zildjian cymbals recorded in the foyer of the "Ladies Room" at a Fairlanes bowling alley after hours. The acoustics in this public restroom allowed for a natural reverberation that required no additional electronic modifications, and other "bowling alley" sounds were added to the recording later, along with some additional percussion.

This track was submitted to the Acoustics Magazine cassette tape series and was used on Acoustics #3, the Audio Magazine of Contemporary Music in December of 1981. Headphone listening was recommended.
