about

This was a favorite "live performance" composition that Ken often played for friends using an upright piano with the Minimoog synthesizer set up to the left of the piano. Recorded on a multi-track machine, each part was added to optimize the sound quality of the whole piece, and to also enhance the synth solo in the middle section, augmenting with an ARP sample-and-hold sequence.

It is important to note here that the Moog synthesizer played an important role in the composing of this piece. The sounds used were imperative in the implementation of the general "feel" of the song, and was rather impressive when performed live with a Kohler Campbell 1901 upright piano (not used here). The first attempt to record this piece can be found on Anvil Creations' "A Musical History" Volume One.
