about

This is an improvised performance on a custom-made SYNERGY digital polyphonic keyboard, courtesy of Don Slepian in New Jersey. The "mood" of the piece may be familiar to fans of "Sense of Recreation", where Ken did a lot of shorts, using the minimoog synthesizer and playing four-channel whole tone scales, calling them "Mood Inventions". The on-board effects on this instrument were incredible, and the signal-to-noise ratio was excellent. No modifications were done to this piece. This one, and the next track, would be the second longest pieces on this album.
