about

Ken has released several experimental albums in recent years. This is a collection of pieces that fit together to tell a story. Some chapters in this story are from a few years after Ken's involvement with the rock band duo, Moore/Myers (with Wayne Myers). Other chapters are as recent as January and February of this year. One item worth noting, is the electronic effects device invented by Allen Myers, called Short Stories, used on three of the tracks presented in this collection.

Pyrotechnica was originally recorded in the 1980s, but the drums were too loud, and the whole piece had to be redone, using the Moog SubPhatty to complement the basic Minimoog track. Another visit to Ken's past comes in the form of an idea recorded more than 40 years ago. Tempus Fugit is the title track from his first tape in the ACS EM series, and inspiration for Tempus Fugit 2020 and Tempus Finale (clocks) comes from that time period.

Often times, albums that are presented by Anvil Creations contain two or more different genres of music. This is because Ken enjoys hearing and composing several types of music, using various methods of recording and composition. Whether or not you agree with this practice, these ten tracks are presented with honesty and sincere hope that it will be appreciated by others with the same curiosity in sound.

And for those who are curious about the 8 oscillator synthesizer called Short Stories, there is a link for that here:

Moore/Myers Ohio

Ken Moore has been using sound as music since 1975. This site began as a promotion for the Moore/Myers band, which released two albums in the 1980s. Now, Ken has expanded his talents to include percussion and abstract recordings from the Gong Room. With the addition of Short Story, ACS is creating even better adventurous sounds, more than ever before. ... more
