Breaking away momentarily from the addition of synthesizers to the tam-tams recorded in the Gong Room, Ken has instead made digital copies of acoustic sounds and rearranged them for aural texture. In a time where many people pick and choose songs to stream or download, this collection on music has been intentionally made to listen through as a whole album.

This is a new attempt to present Ken's fascination with metallic sounds using recording techniques to enhance and complete ideas originally manifested in a live performance setting. The tam-tams, bells and chimes used in this album were, for the most part, left unmodified. Additional sounds from traditional and non-traditional instruments are added with many of the "tricks" that he used in the early days of recording his "electronic music", but without the aid of analog tape recorders.

For those who like the synth additions on "SpoTs", track #2, "Sonic Static", includes some electronic emulations from the Moog Sonic Six, and the Crackle Box from the Netherlands made by Steim. All the other tracks were created using only acoustic sound sources.
