about

This collaboration between Ken Moore and Wayne Myers began in the early 1980s, when Ken joined Wayne's instrumental rock group then known as Kameleon. After trying vocals in their group (changed to Runner), Ken and Wayne moved away from the band to try recording their original material on their own. The result impressed Steve and Alan Freeman of Auricle, and they released their first album, "reaching Beyond The Sphere", on cassette.

The second album was sent to England just before Wayne left due to creative differences, and it was never released on cassette tape. Twenty years later, Wayne inquired about that second release, and gave Auricle permission to release it on CD-R in 2008. The original album was also re-released on CD-R in 2007, but there was a third collection never released on either tape or disc. "Powerless" is one example of that which would have been "20/20". A tape was also found ("Vision") and is also included here as a bonus track, since it is somewhat corrupted with age.

This "Best Of Moore/Myers" contains selected material from both Auricle releases. The original albums can still be found on this B/C site.

Now, Ken has expanded his talents to include percussion and abstract recordings from the Gong Room. With the addition of Short Story, ACS is creating even better adventurous sounds, more than ever before. ... more
